Following the merger of Banco Nacional Ultramarino and Caixa Geral de Depósitos by incorporation of BNU into CGD, the Macau Branch of Banco Nacional Ultramarino became, as of July 1,  2001, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Caixa Geral de Depositos, incorporated in Macau.

Banco Nacional Ultramarino operates 11 branches and employs 281 staff providing  a range of products and services both in the consumer and commercial banking area.

Banco Nacional Ultramarino is an issuer of Visa Platinum, Gold and Classic credit cards as well as of Mastercard Gold and Classic credit cards. The Bank issues also a debit card, Maestro card, that may be used worldwide to withdraw cash from ATMs.

We are a member of the JETCO  which has a network of  more than 1600 ATM in Hong Kong , Macau , Zhuhai and Shenzhen and we operate our own 29 full service ATMs, 15 being off-site.

BNU banking services can also be accessed through BNU Online, an Internet banking service, BNU Mobile Banking, which is available through WAP enabled mobile phones and BNU Direct, a touch tone phone banking service.
