Why would I need a bank draft?

• Whenever you make a purchase in EUR, USD or HKD involving a large sum of money, the seller may require a bank draft, since it constitutes a guarantee of payment more secure than a personal cheque. In international banking, a sight draft or demand draft drawn on a foreign bank allows payment in a local currency at the SPOT exchange rate, minimizing foreign exchange risk in import/export trade financing.

How can I get a bank draft?

• Just visit any of our counters and request for a bank draft against cash or debit from your account. The draft will have BNU’s logo on it and will be issued in the name of the payee.
